Privacy Policy

Overview

CV Report Share is a free, community-run platform that helps reporters securely share content with reviewers. We do not share user data with third parties. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the one narrow situation where information about a user can leave the service.

What we collect

We collect only what the service needs to work.

• Account information. A username and an email address. You can include as much or as little personal information in your reports as you are comfortable with.
• Uploaded content. The reports and files you upload, and the settings you choose for them: watermarking, visibility settings, and whether they can be downloaded.
• Access activity. How many times your report has been accessed, and how many times each file has been viewed.

How we use it

The contact information you give us is used only to let you access the system. We never use it for marketing, outreach, or any other purpose.

Your uploaded content is used only to make it available to the reviewers you choose. Access counts are shown to you so you can see how often your report has been opened.

Who can see your data

We do not share user data with third parties, and data is not shared with other users or members of the service. Reporters decide who can view their report. Reviewers can only open reports they have been granted access to.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that uploaded content is 100% secure. A person with legitimate access may still be able to record content outside the platform. Watermarking can help deter this but cannot prevent it.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

You decide what to upload and how much detail to include. Reporters may delete data from the service at any time. report or report content,

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Questions about your data can be sent to privacy@cvreportshare.com.
